Vinted fees for sellers
Vinted's model is different from eBay's: sellers pay no commission on standard items. Instead, the buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee (a percentage of the item price plus a small fixed fee) and the postage on top of your price. That means if you list an item at £30 and it sells, you receive £30.
There are a few costs to watch:
- Bumps and Spotlight — optional paid promotion. Only worth it for higher-value items or slow stock.
- Pro seller fees — business accounts (Vinted Pro) can face category fees on some high-value items.
- Your own costs — packaging, printing labels, and the time and travel to source stock.
Pricing on Vinted
Vinted buyers expect bargains and love to send offers. Many sellers price 10–20% above the figure they're happy to accept so there's room to negotiate. Use the calculator with your realistic accepted price, not the listing price, so you don't overestimate profit.
Because buyers pay postage separately, a low-priced item can look expensive once postage and protection are added. That's why cheaper items (under ~£5) often sell best in bundles.
What sells well on Vinted?
Women's and men's branded clothing, outdoor jackets, trainers, kids' clothing bundles and vintage pieces all do well. See our list of the best brands to resell, or browse brand resale guides for Barbour, Patagonia, Ralph Lauren and more.
